Savola Plastics started in early 1980’s as an in-house plastic manufacturing operation devoted solely to support Savola Edible Oil (SEO) requirements.

In October 1989 Savola Plastics began commercial sales to third party customers from the SEO site.

In 1991, the state of art Jeddah plastic factory commenced operations.

In 1992 the Riyadh plastic factory started production focusing mainly dairy bottles for central and eastern region customers.
The company was awarded ISO 9002 certification during 1996 by BSI.

The company was also awarded during 1997 the MRP II class “A” certificate from Oliver Weight International in the areas of Strategy Planning & Control and the New Product Development.
